Orbiting the cloud-shrouded planet of Quinnis, Dharktyde is its oceanic moon. Dotted with heavily populated islands, the survivors of some forgotten disaster on Quinnis made Dharktyde their home.
One day, a star falls on Dharktyde, and lands in the largely unexplored area known as The Scatter, where a magic storm batters the islands there with heavy winds and troubled water.
